“ We ended up at Zubu Ramen more by accident than by plan. We were craving ramen but didn't want to wait in the long lines at some of the busier spots in the city, so we headed back toward our hotel and stumbled upon this place. The best part was definitely the lack of wait—we were seated immediately and ordered right away. I decided to go for the Ramen Flight, which was a great choice for someone like me who likes to sample a few different flavors. The broths were deep and rich, though I have to say, if the portion sizes were any bigger, the saltiness might have been overwhelming. It was just the right amount to enjoy without overdoing it. My mom ordered something from their promo menu (I honestly can’t remember the name, which pretty much sums it up). It was a decent, solid bowl of noodles, but completely unremarkable and forgettable. The service was friendly, and it served its purpose as a quick, hassle-free dinner. We didn't try any appetizers or extras this time, but if we’re ever back in the neighborhood and want a fast seat, I’d be curious to try some of the other items on the menu. ”

“ Dine Out Vancouver Festival 2026 Went there the 2nd time after 10 days. The Takoyaki was back to stock, Matcha & Mango Mochi Ice Cream flavors were also available. This time tried their Tonkotsu Ramen and Creamy Chicken Ramen. Overall taste was okay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Went there in a cold, weekday afternoon to try their DOVF menu. Appetizers : chose Crispy Chicken (5pcs.), Takoyaki (not available so I had to choose Crispy Chicken also); Main Courses : we both chose Ramen Flight, choices of thin or thick noodles; Desserts : chose Matcha Mochi Ice Cream & Mango Mochi Ice Cream (also no Matcha & Mango flavor so we chose Strawberry & Vanilla instead); Drinks : Mocktails (Haiyu Mojito - pineapple, yuzu, lime, mint, sprite, and Tokyo Sunshine - pineapple, peach, lychee, lime, mint) The Crispy Chicken pieces were crispy. The Ramen Flight was cute, with okay taste. The 2 drinks were very refreshing & also presentable. The desserts were good, too. Services were attentive. Restaurant environment was nice, clean, & tidy. I should have given this restaurant an overall score of 5 stars. I removed one star, firstly, because : they ran out of Takoyaki, which made me quite disappointed because I really hoped to try Takoyaki there. Secondly, they only offered Strawberry, Vanilla, & Caramel flavor Mochi Ice Cream the time we went there. I was surprised why the most popular Matcha flavor was not available! Despite the above 2 factors which made me a bit upset, I still recommend this restaurant to the folks that love Japanese Ramen and snacks. ”

“ I’ve been to Zubu a few times now, and the food has been consistently solid. The blue crab hand roll is a standout, and their Tonkotsu ramen is reliably comforting and rich. If you’re curious about the rest of their ramen lineup, the ramen flight is a fun way to try them out without committing to just one. Service has been attentive on my visits, and food comes out quickly, which is always appreciated. Last night, I tried their Dine Out Vancouver menu and thought it was excellent value. For $35, it included a Sapporo beer, five pieces of takoyaki, a bowl of Tonkotsu ramen, and mochi ice cream. It also happened to be Sake Friday, so we picked up a bottle at 50% off - hard to complain about that math. The ambience was generally fine, but the staff were doing a photoshoot for their new menu right beside our table. The lighting was extremely bright and the space felt cramped, and since the shoot lasted the entire duration of our meal, it became a bit distracting. Overall, strong food and good value, with a small but avoidable atmosphere miss on this particular visit. ”
